In 2006, as social media was on the rise, DUB FX packed his bags, jumped on a plane and left Melbourne to fulfil his dream of travelling Europe. For DUB FX, his musical talent and street performing were only ever intended as a means of income to fund the adventure. The universe, however, had other plans. DUB FX realised early on that his unique process impressed people passing by on the street. While most artists struggle to attain slick production finishes in a studio, DUB FX was building and layering exceptional musical tracks live and instantaneously. He delivers meaningful, conscious messages and captivates his audience emotionally. Two years later, Filmmaker Ben Dowden, aka 'BD', discovered DUB FX in the streets of Bristol. BD offered to film DUB FX's performance and later uploaded the now 30-plus million-view videos 'Love Someone' and 'Flow' to YouTube. Immediately after, promoters started contacting DUB FX from all over the world, elevating him from a street artist to a club and festival act.
Over the last 19 years, DUB FX has released six records, sold over 250,000 albums, headlined major festivals, racked up over 300 million collective YouTube views, and built an imposing social media presence without ever being played on commercial radio or TV. The last album, ‘Infinite Reflection,’ was anything but conventional. Over the span of nine consecutive weeks, a new track from the album was unleashed every Friday with its own video, treating each song as a standalone single and building anticipation with each successive release.
In 2025, he returns with a brand new project, "Open Secret Society," accompanied by his faithful saxophonist Woodnote. This duo works wonderfully and creates even new layers in the musical universe of DUB FX. They are now on stage for a world tour not to be missed!
