His versatility and stage presence have made him one of the most acclaimed Jamaican artists of his generation, earning him a Grammy nomination in 2018 for his album Chronology.
Jamar McNaughton was born and raised in a ghetto in Spanish Town, a bedroom community east of Kingston, one of Jamaica's poorest communities. CHRONIXX is the son of Chronicle, a singer who was active in the dancehall scene in the 1990s and affiliated with the Brooklyn sound system Massive B.

CHRONIXX appeared on the reggae scene at the end of 2012 with his first mixtape "Start A Fire" mixed by Major Lazer before exploding two years later with the release of his EP "Dread & Terrible" and his first appearance on the famous The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on NBC. Since then CHRONIXX has filled venues all over the world and performed on the biggest stages (Coachella, Glastonbury, FujiRock ..).

In 2016, the young musician released his second mixtape "Roots & Chalice" mixed by Federation Sound from Brooklyn and had the opportunity to perform in many countries for the first time such as Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico, Japan .. CHRONIXX has collaborated with some international artists such as Major Lazer, Joey Bada$$, Little Simz, Rudimental, Maverick Sabre or Allan Kingdom.

His debut album "Chronology" was released in 2017. CHRONIXX traveled to complete this album, he collaborated with English musicians, Rudimental and Dan "Utters" Radcliff, French musicians Bost & Bim and Picards Brothers, he went to Chicago to record an orchestra, to Jamaica to collaborate with Bobby Digital, James "Winta" Philips, Stephen McGregor, Natural High and his musicians from Zincfence Redemption.
