KOFFEE

Jamaica Reggae
Jamaican artist Koffee has been making waves since 2018: her debut EP "Rapture" won a Grammy Award in 2020, at just 20 years old.

Her debut album "Gifted" demonstrates her talent: polished productions, a devastating flow, all skillfully blending reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeat. She undoubtedly represents the new reggae generation!
Mikayla Simpson, aka KOFFEE, developed a passion for performing at a very young age. She became known in August 2017, when she was only 17, by posting an acoustic version of the song "Legend" online. A song in tribute to runner Usain Bolt, which the athlete shared on his social media after discovering her. She was already causing a stir in the reggae world. With an incredibly mature voice, she impressed many during a surprise appearance alongside Cocoa Tea during the last Rebel Salute. But the young artist had already made a name for herself by paying tribute to Usain Bolt with a moving acoustic song.

Since then, we've enjoyed her on the Ouji Riddim with the excellent track Burning, but also with the tune Raggamuffin where she shows off her singjay skills. A new video shot by the BBC at Tuff Gong Studios with Chronixx adds another layer to the buzz surrounding the singer.

In November 2018, she released her third single, Toast, which came with a music video featuring the artist posing with Protoje and Chronixx, her mentor, whom she also follows on a European tour. The track was produced by Walshy Fire (Major Lazer) and Izy Beats (no less!) and features on her EP Rapture. She then made history in 2020, becoming the youngest winner and, more importantly, the first woman to win a Grammy Award in the Best Reggae Album category, with her EP Rapture.

In 2022, she released her debut album, "Gifted," after creating unbearable anticipation with a few singles and an EP whose tracks can be found on the album. Since then, she has collaborated with artists such as Jesse Reyez, Interplanetary Criminal, and Sam Smith.

She made her comeback in 2025 by laying the foundations with her single KOFFEE, “I'm trynna be a better me, not the way you remember me”. A new beginning heralding a new project, see you in 2026 for a caffeinated tour!
